Venue 1012: Outdoor Entertainment in Your Community’s Backyard

1012 Station Drive, Oswego, Illinois (near the intersection of Mill and Orchard Roads)

Comfortable, Scenic, Fun, Family-Friendly

Oswego’s Venue 1012 is a premier outdoor entertainment destination for the village and neighboring communities. Opened in 2021, the amphitheater brings both free and affordable all-ages entertainment to the region for celebrating spring and summer nights.

Owned and operated by the village of Oswego, the venue currently features an elevated 40’ x 60’ band shell with grass seating for up to 4,000, plus even greater capacity for larger shows.

Family and friends love to gather in our casual, relaxing atmosphere overlooking a picturesque pond. The best is also yet to come as we continue planning for additional landscaping, semi-permanent seating, a playground and walking paths.

Live Music

If you hear the sounds of inspiring music floating over Oswego, they’re probably coming from Venue 1012. The schedule includes high-energy performances by local and regional bands ranging from original music to country, rock and pop from the 1960s to the present day.

Join us for free live music on select Thursdays and affordable ticketed concerts by top acts on select Saturdays. Bring chairs or a blanket or join the standing room by the stage! (Venue 1012 typically opens one hour before performance start.)

Beer, wine, and hard seltzer, as well as bottled water and soda are available for purchase at all Thursday and Saturday music events.

Schedule

Free Movies in the Park

It’s a free, relaxing evening for the whole family on select Thursday nights! Bring the kids, a picnic and chairs or a blanket for games and together time under the setting sun starting at 6pm. Then sit back and watch the movie on a big screen as the summer stars twinkle above you.

Schedule

Venue 1012 History

Venue 1012 is Oswego’s entertainment center. First proposed by village president Troy Parlier in 2019, the amphitheater was created to bring affordable, all-ages entertainment options to Oswego and beyond. Venue 1012 is a night out – without the hassle.

The community has responded to the mayor’s vision: Developer Kevin Fialko donated the land for the venue, and sponsors great and small made construction possible. In its current form, the venue boasts a 40-foot by 60-foot bandshell and grass seating for up to 4,000 people with even greater capacity for larger shows. And this is just Phase 1 of development. Subsequent phases will include additional landscaping, semi-permanent seating, a playground and walking paths. The best is yet to come.

NOTE: ONLY CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED, NO CASH.
